Is the word verde the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?

Yes

The only difference between the two variants is pronunciation. In Brazilian Portuguese, the final "e" is typically pronounced as a closed "i" (resembling the "ee" in "see"). In Continental Portuguese, the final "e" is much more reduced and unstressed, often sounding nearly silent or like a very short, neutral "uh" sound.
