Is the word ventilador the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?

Yes

The word "ventilador" is identical in meaning, spelling, and grammar in both Brazilian and Continental Portuguese. The only difference lies in pronunciation.

In Brazilian Portuguese, the unstressed vowels are more open and clearly articulated. In Continental Portuguese, unstressed vowels are much more "closed" or reduced; specifically, the initial "e" in "ventilador" is often so reduced that it sounds like a very short "i" or is almost silent. Additionally, the "r" at the end of words may be pronounced with a different phonetic quality (more retroflex in many Brazilian dialects versus a more dental or tapped sound in Portugal).
