Is the word utensílios the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?

Yes

The only difference between the two variants is pronunciation. In Brazilian Portuguese, the "l" is vocalized (sounding like a "u" in "food"), and the "s" at the end of the word is a standard "s" sound. In Continental Portuguese, the "l" is more clearly articulated (alveolar), and the "s" at the end of the word is pronounced as a "sh" sound (shibilant). The spelling, grammar, and meaning remain identical.
