Is the word teórico the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?
Yes.
The word "teórico" is identical in meaning, spelling, and grammatical function in both Brazilian and Continental Portuguese. The only difference lies in pronunciation. In Brazilian Portuguese, unstressed vowels are more open and clearly articulated. In Continental Portuguese, unstressed vowels (especially the "e" and "o") are more "closed" or reduced, meaning they are pronounced much more softly or briefly, sometimes sounding almost swallowed.
