Is the word proveitosa the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?
Yes
The only difference between the use of "proveitosa" in Brazilian and Continental Portuguese is pronunciation. There are no differences in spelling, grammar, or fundamental meaning. In Brazilian Portuguese, the vowels are typically more "open" and clearly articulated. In Continental Portuguese, vowels that are not under stress (such as the "e" in the middle of the word) are often "reduced" or nearly silent, and the rhythm of the word is much more "closed."
