Is the word postar the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?

No.

While the core meaning remains the same, there is a difference in typical usage. In Brazil, "postar" is the standard, ubiquitous verb used for all social media activities (sharing photos, updates, etc.). In Portugal, while "postar" is understood and used, it is often perceived as an anglicism. Therefore, Portuguese people more naturally use "publicar" (to publish) or "partilhar" (to share) when referring to digital content.
