Is the word leitores the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?
Yes
The only difference between the two variants regarding this word is pronunciation. In Brazilian Portuguese, the vowels are generally more open and clearly articulated, giving the word a more melodic rhythm. In Continental Portuguese, unstressed vowels undergo "vowel reduction," meaning the "o" in the suffix "-ores" is much more closed and muffled, often sounding nearly swallowed or like a very short "u" sound. The spelling, grammar, and meaning remain identical.
