Is the word instalamos the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?

No.

The difference between the two is in the spelling and the grammatical distinction between the present and past tense. In Brazilian Portuguese, "instalamos" is used for both the present tense (nós instalamos — we install) and the past tense (nós instalamos — we installed). In Continental Portuguese, an acute accent is used to differentiate the two: "instalamos" is only used for the present tense, whereas "instalámos" is used for the past tense.
