Is the word indicado the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?

No.

While the spelling and grammar of "indicado" are identical in both variants, there is a difference in typical usage. In Brazil, "indicado" is a very common and natural synonym for "recommended" (e.g., when talking about movies, books, or restaurants). In Portugal, however, "indicado" is rarely used for recommendations; instead, "recomendado" is the much more natural choice. In European Portuguese, "indicado" is more strictly used for things that are "pointed out," "noted," or "nominated" (in official or formal contexts).
