Is the word eficientes the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?
Yes
The only difference between "eficientes" in Brazilian Portuguese and Continental Portuguese is pronunciation.
In Brazilian Portuguese, the vowels are more open and the syllables are articulated with more clarity and musicality. The "e" at the beginning and the "e" in the penultimate syllable are clearly pronounced. In Continental Portuguese, there is a significant reduction of unstressed vowels. The initial "e" and the unstressed "e" within the word often become "clipped" or nearly silent (a phenomenon known as vowel reduction), making the word sound much more closed and compressed to a Brazilian ear.
