Is the word discutido the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?

Yes

The word "discutido" is identical in meaning, grammar, and spelling in both Brazilian and Continental Portuguese. The only difference is pronunciation. In Brazilian Portuguese, vowels—even unstressed ones—tend to be more "open" and clearly articulated. In Continental Portuguese, unstressed vowels are often "reduced" or shortened, meaning the "i" in "discutido" might sound much lighter or almost disappear, making the word sound more "clipped" to a Brazilian ear.
