Is the word brinquedos the same in Brazilian and European Portuguese?
Yes
The only difference between the word in Brazilian Portuguese and Continental Portuguese is the pronunciation. In Brazilian Portuguese, the unstressed vowels are generally more clearly articulated. In Continental Portuguese, unstressed vowels undergo significant reduction; specifically, the "os" at the end of "brinquedos" is often swallowed or reduced, sounding much more like a soft "sh" ([uʃ]) rather than a clear "os" or "uz".

- Esse brinquedo é muito legal! (This toy is very cool!)
- Onde você guardou os brinquedos? (Where did you put the toys?)
